Having experience in the world of guitar, I knew the struggle of lugging around many kilograms of gear, hence, I set out to design an all-in-one package for gigging and busking. I decided to go for a New Original Stock theme – vintage design with modern appointment – creating a 1950’s aesthetic, drawing design cues from old radios and televisions. The circuitry is all analogue and uses vintage vacuum tubes, designed to create a raw and loud sound – perfect for live performance. I enhanced my skills in CAD, CAM, woodworking, metal working, electronic engineering and textiles, using all of these to complete the project and achieve a satisfying result. It was a greatly enjoyable project to make and was a great learning curve for all areas involved.
