The Recycled Alternate Material Snowboard (RAMS) is a project that highlights the overuse of petroleum based materials and other non-renewables in our society. The goal of these two snowboards is to show how changes can be made in every industry to better the sustainability of our lives. The snowboard with the union jack is a modern snowboard and is made from these previously mentioned, non-renewable materials. The second snowboard is the RAM snowboard, and is made from sustainable and recycled alternatives, such as the vinyl record base, bamboo core, synthetic nylon recycled top sheet and linen fabric in between each layer.
