Through the study of technology courses, students engage in a diverse range of practical experiences and develop knowledge and understanding of contemporary and advancing technologies. They develop solutions to identify problems and situations, and explore the impact of technologies on the individual, society and the environment.

Whether our students are developing skills using and/or writing software or working through a design process and considering a range of factors including social and ethical issues, they have been confronted with many valuable life lessons and academic challenges and been required to refine their skills to solve problems through the completion of major projects.

This year, our Year 12 has excelled this process. Take a moment or two to look at their major projects and consider the research and planning that lay behind each project and folio they have presented for marking. Our students should be congratulated not only for their final product, but also for the academic rigour and dedication they have applied to their studies to get them to this place.

As we rightly acknowledge these student’s ability and appropriately celebrate their successes, I encourage them to consider these words of scripture; Colossians 3:23 says “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters” and in John 15:5 we read “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing”.

Year 12 TAS students, congratulations on a job well done. As a college we pray for you and for your future. Enjoy celebrating the many gifts you possess while giving honour to the one who has blessed you with them.
