Year 9 Visual Arts students rose to the challenge of working Off-Campus Learning this year, exploring the possibilities of art journaling by creating a portfolio of artworks week by week. Students were influenced by their own world in their exploration of subject matter, utilising whatever mediums were available to them in creative ways. Prompts for artworks included; objects, food, interior, through the window, exterior, backyard landscape, fantasy landscape, backyard flora and fauna and portraits. Students also investigated Dutch Vanitas art and produced a large-scale graphite still life drawing of a selection of symbolic objects. Year 9 have demonstrated exceptional dedication and positivity this year, as demonstrated by the imaginative and fascinating works they have produced.
