Year 11 Visual Arts students have utilised a wide variety of artmaking mediums this year and explored traditional and non-traditional methods of material use. Students have been encouraged to explore subject matter that is important to them and apply expressive techniques in their depictions. They have also looked to the work of other artists and employed appropriation, using humour to assign new meaning to iconic artworks. Despite a challenging year, Year 11 has managed to produce some high quality artworks and I am very proud of their motivation and resilience.
