Artist statement: 

My artwork is a digital creation made with Illustrator. The scene is made to resemble the inside of a PC but rather than electrical components such as a motherboard, graphics card, RAM, etc. it is powered by steampunk-esque machines which are, in turn, fed coal by tiny people living inside the PC. The concept being presented is that these people being forced to power the PC serve as a metaphor for human powered factories and sweatshops around the world where people are forced to work in production lines under harsh hours and conditions with little pay. Via Animate, multiple parts of the artwork have been animated to add to the effect of a working PC and, finally, this artwork is displayed on a screen and placed inside of an actual PC case to further represent this theme.
