Primary Strings

At the beginning of the year our Primary ensemble had grown to 25 members and was still growing. They were becoming a strong string orchestra who were looking forward to showing off their abilities. Unfortunately our usual opportunities to perform, and to join forces with the College Ensemble both inside and outside the college were all cancelled. They did get the opportunity to record their part in the collective project of “Eye of the Tiger” presented at Dr. Quarmby’s farewell assembly. Then the ensemble had to split in two and had to practice fortnightly. Despite all this the students still maintained an excellent sense of commitment, continuing to practice and rehearse. Happily both groups had the opportunity to record something for the end of year. Congratulations to all who received Bar Badges for their commitment to the ensemble. We farewell our strong cohort of Year 6 students and hope that they will continue their musical journey in the College Ensemble.
