Primary Band

Every week, a group of enthusiastic students from Years 5 and 6 came together to form the Primary Band, building in numbers as the year progressed. Mr Denley took the group during Semester 1 and prepared many pieces with great anticipation to perform. Unfortunately due to the health restrictions placed on wind instruments, especially during Terms 2 and 3, Primary Band needed to change. During this transitional period, the students learnt a new skill of bucket drumming. Here the students learnt new beats and rhythms and experimented with sound. The students were pleased when instruments were able to be played again, resurrecting many old music favourites. Congratulations to those students who received their Primary Band bar badges.
